Weather update: No chances of rain in near future, says met office – HUM News


ISLAMABAD: In a weather update, Meteorological Department has forecast that heatwave like conditions will grip most parts of the country with no chances of rain in near future.

According to the latest advisory, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan will continue to face rising temperatures.

In Lahore, clear and hot conditions persist. The current temperature is 28 degrees Celsius, with a forecast high of 37 degrees and a low of 24. Winds are blowing at 2 km per hour, while the humidity level has reached 77 per cent.

In Multan, air quality remains a concern, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded at 163 points, placing it in the unhealthy category.

The city and surrounding areas are expected to stay hot and dry, with a maximum temperature of 39 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 26. Humidity has been measured at 48 per cent.

Most districts of Sindh are also likely to remain dry, though coastal areas may experience partly cloudy skies. Similar conditions are expected in Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

In Peshawar, partly cloudy weather is expected, with the mercury rising up to 36 degrees Celsius. The humidity level has been recorded at 37 per cent.
