Hot, dry weather forecast for most parts of country – HUM News


ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast hot and dry weather in most parts of the country over the next 24 hours.

According to the PMD, Islamabad and most districts of Punjab will remain hot, while partly cloudy conditions are expected in the coastal areas of Balochistan and Sindh.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rain is likely at a few places in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand and Kohistan. Gilgit-Baltistan may also receive rainfall with thunder at isolated spots.

However, most areas of Azad Kashmir are expected to remain dry.

In Karachi, partly cloudy and humid weather is expected. The current temperature in the city is 27 degrees Celsius, with the maximum temperature likely to range between 31 and 33 degrees. The minimum temperature was recorded at 26 degrees Celsius.

Southwestern winds are blowing at a speed of 8 km per hour, while humidity in the air has been measured at 88 per cent, the Met Office said.
