RIYADH: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia on Wednesday signed a landmark Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement (SMDA) which says “any aggression against either country shall be considered an aggression against both”.
A press release issued by the Prime Minister’s Office said the agreement reflected the shared commitment of both countries to enhance their security and achieve security and peace in the region.
“It is aimed at promoting defence cooperation between the two countries and strengthen joint defence and protection against any aggression,” the press release mentioned.
