LAHORE: A Rawalpindi-bound train derailed near Kala Shah Kaku, resulting in injuries to at least 25 passengers, as rescuers and the Pakistan Railways high-ups rushed the scene to deal with the accident.
Several coaches of the Islamabad Express derailed in the incident that took place near Nullah Dek — a seasonal stream that originates in Gujrat and joins Chenab River before passing through Sialkot district.
Kala Shah Kaku is town located in the Sheikhupura district.
The train derailment happened on the main track running that joins Rawalpindi and then Peshawar with southern parts of the country.
