KARACHI: A father brutally murdered his 21-year-old son for maintaining friendships with members of the transgender community in Orangi Town Karachi.
Police have arrested the suspect.
According to reports, the murder took place in Orangi Town’s Sector 11½. SHO Sher told reporters that the accused, the victim’s father, attacked his son Ali Khan with a shovel, leading to his death.
The accused told police he had repeatedly warned his son to stay away from transgender individuals but claimed the son didn’t listen.

Enraged, the father said he first gave his son electric shocks and later killed him with a shovel.
The victim’s body has been shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for legal formalities and medical examination.
SHO Sher added that the accused appeared to hold strong religious beliefs and showed no remorse over the killing.
Police are now awaiting medical confirmation on whether electric shocks were indeed administered before the murder.
