WEB DESK: Poco seems ready to shake up the midrange smartphone scene again with its next release, the Poco F7. While we’re still waiting on an official announcement, early leaks suggest this could be one of the most powerful Poco phones yet, and potentially one of the best value Android phones in 2025.
At the heart of the F7 is the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, a processor usually reserved for pricier flagship models. That’s a big leap forward from last year’s Poco F5, and it means the F7 should have no trouble handling everything from high-end mobile gaming to smooth day-to-day multitasking.
The design is expected to stick with Poco’s signature no-nonsense look: flat edges, a centred punch-hole selfie camera, and slim bezels around a vibrant 6.67-inch AMOLED display. The 120Hz refresh rate should make scrolling feel super fluid, whether you’re browsing, watching videos or firing up your favourite apps.
Camera specs haven’t been fully confirmed yet, but the F7 is rumoured to pack a 50MP main lens, possibly backed by an ultrawide and macro combo. While Poco hasn’t always led the pack in photography, it’s been steadily improving its image processing, and the F7 could mark another step forward.
As for the price, things get interesting. The global price is expected to stay under $400, but once it makes its way to Pakistan, the cost is likely to land somewhere between Rs120,000 and Rs150,000 after factoring in PTA approval and import duties. That’s still competitive, especially if the phone lives up to its early hype.
The Poco F7 is expected to launch in the second half of 2025. If the leaks hold true, this could be a real win for anyone looking for flagship-level features without the steep flagship price. Expect more details to surface in the coming weeks.
