Iran claims Israeli “Iron Dome” system hacked – HUM News

TEHRAN: The Iranian state news agency IRNA has claimed that Israel’s “Iron Dome” missile defence system was hacked, allegedly causing Israeli missiles to strike their own territory in a wave of confusion and malfunction.

According to Iranian media, the Islamic Republic’s Armed Forces launched a fresh round of attacks on Monday night, targeting Israeli-occupied areas with ballistic missiles and drones. The strikes reportedly continued into Tuesday, pushing millions of Israelis into bomb shelters for a fifth consecutive day.

Videos circulating on Iranian and regional platforms show missiles bypassing Israel’s famed Iron Dome defence system and hitting multiple targets.

Observers noted that the attacks appeared to be more accurate than previous ones, with some pointing to a possible cyberattack disrupting Israel’s defence systems.

There are unconfirmed claims that Israel’s National Cyber Directorate was also affected. Some spoofed emergency alerts allegedly misled civilians, warning them against taking shelter and adding to the panic.

Meanwhile, explosions were reported in Tehran hours after US President Donald Trump advised foreigners to immediately evacuate the Iranian capital. Sirens also rang out repeatedly in Israel, though no major damage was initially reported.

The escalation follows Israel’s strikes inside Iranian territory overnight on June 13, which reportedly hit residential areas and killed senior

Iranian military officials along with civilians. Iran condemned the attacks as unprovoked and vowed to continue its military response for as long as needed.
