Valuables worth millions stolen from bank locker in Karachi – HUM News


KARACHI: A citizen was deprived of Rs 100 million worth of valuables from his bank locker in the Darakshan area of Defense Karachi.

A case has been registered at the Darakshan police station.

According to the citizen, he kept items worth over Rs 100 million in his locker, including diamond and gold jewellery, branded watches and other valuable items.

On February 6th when he visited the locker all hus belongings were intact, however when he went on February 19 his locker was empty.

“I have been operating the locker since July 2010, goods were kept at different times”, the affected citizen told the police.

The citizen has also filed a complaint with the FIA ​​and the State Bank.

According to the police, the investigation into the incident is underway and they are gathering details from the bank staff as well as the affected citizen

The CCTV footage and other records of the bank are also being obtained, police authorities.

15 faint due to gas leakage

At least 15 people have fainted due to gas leakage near Dock’s fisheries.

According to DSP Docks, the affected people have been taken to nearby hospitals. 12 have been taken to Civil Hospital and three to Katiana Memon Hospital.

All the affected people are out of danger, according to DSP Arshad Afridi.
