On February 27, Katrina Kaif shared the “Superboys of Malegaon” poster on her Instagram stories. Praising the filmmakers for their bold subject choice and content-driven approach, she wrote, “Killing it @tigerbabyfilms just always ahead of the curve and walking that courageous path…” followed by multiple white heart emojis.
She also referred to director Reema Kagti, producers Zoya Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar, and Ritesh Sidhwani as “#Storytellers” while tagging them in her post.

Set in Malegaon, Maharashtra, “Superboys of Malegaon” follows residents who escape reality through Bollywood cinema. The trailer showcases the journey of amateur filmmaker Nasir Shaikh and his friends as they come together to create a film. The filmmakers released the trailer last year before the movie’s screening at the prestigious Toronto International Film Festival.
Reema Kagti directs the movie, which will be released under the production banner of Amazon MGM Studios, in collaboration with Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby. Along with the main cast, the film also stars Anuj Singh Duhan, Saqib Ayub, Pallav Singgh, and Manjiri Pupala in key roles. After its theatrical release, the film will stream on Amazon Prime Video.
