KARACHI: The investigation into the Mustafa Amir murder case has taken a significant turn with the arrest of actor Sajid Hassan’s son, Sahir Hassan, in connection to the case.
The arrest followed key revelations by detained suspects Armaghan and Shiraz.
The investigation team conducted multiple raids in various areas of Defence Housing Authority (DHA), targeting drug peddlers.
During the raids, four individuals, including Sahir Hassan, were apprehended from Defence Phase 6, Khayaban-e-Rahat.

Police confirmed that all four suspects, including the actor’s son, have been detained on charges of drug trafficking and will undergo further interrogation.
According to the Special Investigation Unit (SIU), Sahir Hassan was found in possession of foreign-brand drugs. It was revealed that he has allegedly been involved in drug dealing for the past two years.
During the raid, drugs worth Rs5 million were recovered from Sahir’s possession. Investigations also uncovered that he had supplied drugs to Armaghan, one of the previously detained prime suspect.
Sahir Hassan has been remanded into police custody for one day as part of the ongoing investigation into the Mustafa Amir murder case, amid allegations of drug dealing and police misconduct.
During the court proceedings, Sahir Hassan denied any involvement in the murder, claiming he had been wrongfully implicated.
“I was taken from my home, and later, the police alleged that drugs were recovered from me,” he stated in court. He further denied any connection to drug transactions involving Mustafa Amir or the prime suspect, Armaghan Qureshi, asserting that he had never sold or bought drugs from them.
Sahir also expressed confusion regarding a report filed by his father, Sajid Hassan, at the Darakhshan police station, stating, “I don’t know what report my father filed.” His statements come as the investigation continues to unfold.
Sajid Hassan, a well-known actor married to Shakila Chapra, is the father of three sons.
