RAWALPINDI: The Traffic Police has introduced a special traffic plan to facilitate the public during the Champions Trophy matches at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from February 23 to 27.
According to a Traffic Police spokesperson, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Benish Fatima a total of 367 officers and personnel will be deployed to manage traffic and ensure a smooth flow on alternative routes during the matches and team movements.
Five designated parking areas have been set up, and a shuttle service will transport spectators between the parking locations and the stadium.
During the arrival and departure of cricket teams, Murree Road will remain closed from Faizabad to Double Road turn.

Traffic from Islamabad will be diverted from Faizabad to the Expressway.
Traffic from Rawalpindi to Islamabad will enter the capital via Chandni Chowk, Rehmanabad, 6th Road Chowk, and Saidpur Road.
Traffic from Ghausia Chowk will be redirected towards Farooq Azam Road.
Additionally, Stadium Road will be completely closed from both directions, from 9th Avenue Chowk to Double Road turn, during the matches.
Traffic from Islamabad via 9th Avenue can enter Rawalpindi through Faizabad Expressway and IJP Road via Pandora Chungi, Katarian, Carriage Factory, and Pirwadhai Mor.
Traffic from Rawalpindi to Islamabad via Double Road will be diverted to Islamabad through Murree Road from Faizabad.
