LAHORE: A bird hit a PIA plane after it took off for Dubai from Lahore Allama Iqbal International Airport on Tuesday afternoon. However, it landed safely back at the airport.
According to PIA spokesperson, PK flight 203 carrying 161 passengers was en-route to Dubai when a bird hit one of its wings when it took off.
The PIA plane landed back safely to the airport and the passengers were offloaded. No one was injured in the incident.

The decision on when the flight will take off again will be made after the aircraft is examined for any damages and cleared for departure, said the PIA spokesperson.
The increasing incidents of bird strikes on planes are a matter of concern. We have repeatedly requested the relevant departments to address this issue, the spokesperson added.”
The bird strike incidents are consistently occurred at the country’s airports due to the lack of cleanliness in the adjacent populated areas, posing severe dangers to the aircraft and passengers.
