Imran’s counsel seeks FIR against Adial jail admin

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan’s counsel Faisal Chaudhary has filed an application at the Adiala jail police station seeking an FIR against the jail administration after he was denied a meeting with the former prime minister.

According to sources Faisal Chaudhary also exchanged hot words with the jail authorities after he was not allowed to meet the PTI founder.

According to the applicant, the jail administration harassed both him and his legal team when they protested the denial outside the jail premises.

He said that he wanted to discuss with the PTI founder the cases related to the May 9 attack on the GHQ  but the jail administration did not allow him to meet with the former premier.

In the application, he said that the jail authorities first asked him to wait in the superintendent’s office but after two hours, they told him that he could not meet the PTI leader.

In the application, he has also mentioned that he was one of Imran Khan’s legal team member who was representing him in various cases in courts, decrying the jail administration for their behaviour.

The PTI chief’s counsel has sought to register a First Information Report against the jail administration for what he said harassing him and his colleagues.

He has requested the authorities concerned to take a legal action against the jail officials.
