ISLAMABAD: Kashmir Solidarity Day will be observed on Wednesday to express the wholehearted support of Pakistani nation to the just struggle of the Kashmiri people for their inalienable right to self-determination under UN resolutions.
A public holiday has been declared, and all government, semi-government, private offices, banks and schools will remain closed.
Preparations are in full swing to observe the Kashmir Solidarity Day to highlight the plight of oppressed Kashmiri people and to remind the world community of its obligations towards the resolution of the longstanding dispute.
Cold, dry weather predicted across Pakistan
Rallies, public meetings, and seminars will be held across the country, including Azad Kashmir to draw the attention of the world community towards grave human rights violations and brutalities against innocent Kashmiris by the Indian security forces.
All Pakistan missions abroad will organise seminars and photo exhibitions to draw the world’s attention towards the plight of Kashmiris.
Special cultural programs and festivals are organized to highlight Kashmiri culture and traditions. News and entertainment channels broadcast special programs, talk shows, dramas, and Kashmiri songs, shedding light on the oppression and brutalities faced by Kashmiris over the years.
Educational institutions arrange debate competitions and dialogue forums where students share their views and suggest solutions for Kashmir-related issues.
