ISLAMABAD: The Pakistani rupee gained 03 paisa against the US dollar in interbank trading on Friday, closing at Rs278.94 compared to the previous day’s rate of Rs278.97.
According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the dollar’s buying and selling rates in the open market stood at Rs279.50 and Rs281.00, respectively.
The euro saw a decline of 72 paisa, closing at Rs290.21 against the previous rate of Rs290.93, as per the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). The Japanese yen remained stable at Rs1.80, while the British pound dropped by 49 paisa, settling at Rs346.84 from its last close of Rs347.33.
Additionally, the exchange rates for the UAE dirham and Saudi riyal fell by 01 paisa each, closing at Rs75.94 and Rs74.36, respectively.
