ISLAMABAD: Islamabad’s Nilore police have arrested a man on charges of murdering a man and dismembering his body before dumping it into a manhole near Simly Dam.
The victim was identified as Raja Faisal, a resident of Pahont in Islamabad.
According to the Islamabad police spokesperson, the killers dismembered the victim’s body and packed the remains in a sack and dumped it into a manhole near Simly Dam.
The police said that the suspect was arrested within six hours of the murder, using human intelligence.
“Despite the suspect leaving no evidence, police traced him using modern technology and apprehended him while he was attempting to flee Islamabad,” the spokesperson said.

The suspect had mercilessly murdered the victim, mutilated the body, and disposed of it in a desolate area. The arrested suspect has been identified as Tanveer Hussain. The police also recovered the motorcycle used in the crime from the suspect.
According to the Islamabad police spokesperson, the accomplices will also be arrested soon.
SP Rural Zone Kazim Naqvi praised the police team for the swift arrest of the suspect. He said that the Islamabad police are committed to eliminating crime.
“To counter crimes, violence, and murder, Islamabad police are conducting indiscriminate operations. Strict legal action is being taken against criminals to ensure justice and deliver exemplary punishment,” he said adding that the arrested suspect will be prosecuted with solid evidence to ensure conviction.
