LAHORE: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Lahore made progress in the jail trial of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders in violent protest cases.
During today’s proceedings, PTI Vice President Shah Mehmood Qureshi, and senior leader Dr Yasmin Rashid were indicted along with others.
The ATC heard the case pertaining to the Shadman police station arson and siege case, of the events that happened on May 9, 2023, during the protests that broke out after the then PTI-chairman Imran Khan was arrested.
The ATC also summoned witnesses for the next hearing on the police station arson case, while announcing adjournment until December 19.
For the case related to the Askari Tower arson and siege cases against Qureshi, Rashid, Mian Mehmood ur Rasheed and others, the ATC adjourned the hearing till December 23.
ATC court judge Manzar Ali Gul held the hearing in Kot Lakhpat Jail.
