Hollywood’s once-iconic couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, currently embroiled in a high-profile divorce, have reportedly been offered a blank cheque to co-star in a film.
According to Page Six, producer Danny Rossner is raising $60 million for what he describes as his “passion project of more than 20 years.”
Rossner revealed the film is a World War II love story set at the Hotel Martinez in Cannes, France. The roles would see Jolie playing Emma Digard, a seductive muse, opposite Pitt as Emmanuel Martinez, the hotel’s owner. The script reportedly includes intense love scenes, but Rossner remains hopeful. “I’m serious about this offer and believe the story can transcend their differences,” Rossner said.
The proposal comes amid ongoing legal disputes between Jolie, 49, and Pitt, 60, over the custody of their six children—Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Knox and Vivienne—as well as their Château Miraval winery.
In July, Jolie’s attorney Paul Murphy released a statement urging Pitt to resolve the conflict. “While Angelina again asks Mr. Pitt to end the fighting and finally put their family on a clear path toward healing, unless Mr. Pitt withdraws his lawsuit, Angelina has no choice but to obtain the evidence necessary to prove his allegations wrong,” Murphy said.
Meanwhile, Pitt has gone public with his relationship with jewellery designer Ines de Ramon, confirming their romance during the Venice Film Festival.
