Bushra Bibi steps in to reportedly resolve PTI’s internal conflicts – HUM News


PESHAWAR: The wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder, Bushra Bibi, reportedly took it upon herself to resolve the party’s internal disputes while her husband, Imran Khan, languishes in jail.

Her involvement comes at an extremely critical juncture for the party as it faces huge challenges related to leadership and unity amongst members.

Reports indicate that the former first lady held a meeting with Asad Qaiser, a senior PTI leader and former Speaker of the National Assembly. KP Chief Minister, Ali Amin Gandapur, was also reportedly present.

The meeting was held in the Chief Minister’s House in Peshawar, where the two tackled concerns and disputes plaguing the members and workers within the PTI.

According to reports, Bushra Bibi talked about the negative impact the internal divisions was having on the party’s morale. She apparently remarked that “the party is suffering due to differences among themselves”.  

To promote unity, the former first lady announced that prominent figures, including Ali Amin Gandapur, Asad Qaiser and Atif Khan, would spearhead efforts to mobilise supporters and organise the protest.

She aims to ensure that the party workers remained engaged and motivated.

The meeting also focused on a common goal: securing the release of Imran Khan, imprisoned in the notorious Adiala Jail on a long list of legal charges.
