The sale of cars in Pakistan during the first four months of the current financial year 2024-25 increased by 46.73% compared to the same period last year, according to recent data from the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA).
A total of 30,625 cars were sold from July to October 2024, up from 20,871 units in the same months of the previous year. The data highlights notable increases in the sales of various models.
Honda Civic and City sales saw a significant rise, with 4,424 units sold during July-October 2024, compared to 2,239 units in the previous year. Toyota Corolla and Yaris sales jumped by 65.05%, reaching 6,655 units, up from 4,032 units in the same period last year. Suzuki Swift’s sales also increased by 26.84%, rising from 1,576 units to 1,999 units.
However, Suzuki Cultus sales declined, with only 629 units sold in the first four months of this year, down from 1,142 units last year. Suzuki WagonR also experienced a drop in sales, falling to 737 units from 1,160 units. In contrast, Suzuki Alto sales grew by 35.90%, from 9,362 units to 12,723 units. Suzuki Bolan saw a significant surge, with sales rising to 2,690 units, compared to 684 units during the same months last year.
