WEB DESK: Most parts of the country are expected to stay dry today, predicts Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

However, strong and dusty winds will be stirring up in the afternoon, especially across the plains of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab. Meanwhile, the coastal areas of Sindh could see thundershowers, bringing a splash of drama to the otherwise hot and dry day.

Going region by region, the PMD says that in Islamabad, weather is likely to stay dry, with the possibility of gusty winds blowing through later in the day.

In Punjab, it’s much the same story – dry, but with strong winds across the plains.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will also stay mostly dry, though Chitral might receive a rain shower with thunderstorms towards the afternoon and evening.

In Sindh, a mix of hot and dry conditions are predicted, but there may be rain with wind and thundershowers in Tharparkar, Nagarparkar, Mithi, Badin, Karachi, Thatta, Sajawal, Hyderabad and surrounding areas.

Balochistan will also get dry weather.
