MANAGUA: Nicaragua became the latest country to cut diplomatic ties with Israel on Friday, citing the genocidal and fascist nature of the Israeli government.

The Nicaraguan government stated that due to Israel’s attack on Palestinian territories, they would be breaking diplomatic relations with the country.

The announcement followed a resolution that was passed by Nicaragua’s congress, which called on President Daniel Ortega’s administration to break ties with Israel.
