ISLAMABAD: Quaid-e-Azam University (QAU) has retained its status as Pakistan’s number one university in the Times Higher Education World University Ranking 2025, placing in the global range of 401-500.
Additionally, the university secured the 315th position in the QS World University Ranking.
Quaid-e-Azam University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Niaz Ahmed Akhtar, congratulated faculty, students, alumni, and staff on this achievement. He noted that despite financial challenges, the university has shown consistent improvement in its global ranking.
Professor Akhtar further stated that with increased support and attention from the government and the Higher Education Commission (HEC), the university could potentially break into the top 200 universities worldwide.
He said that the QAU also holds significant potential to contribute to the country’s economic development.
