Six killed in Mari Petroleum Helicopter crash in North Waziristan – HUM News


ISLAMABAD: Six people have been killed and eight injured in a Mari Petroleum company chartered helicopter crash in Miranshah area of North Waziristan.

As per initial reports, the helicopter crashed due to engine failure. Any sabotage or terrorism act has been ruled out, according to the security sources.

The MI 8 helicopter was carrying 14 passengers including foreign nationals. Six people including three Russians have been killed and eight injured in the crash, according to Mari Petroleum company spokesperson.

The tail of the copter fell soon after it took off, causing it to crash, Investigation into the crash has started.

The injured have been shifted to CMH Thal.
