WEB DESK: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts that the weather is likely to remain hot and dry in most parts of the country. However, strong and gusty winds along with thundershowers are expected at a few places in Gilgit-Baltistan, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Pothohar region, Northeast Punjab and Kashmir. Heavy rain is also expected at a few places in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa later in the day.

Going region by region, PMD predicts that the weather in Islamabad and surrounding areas is expected to be partly cloudy, with strong winds and thunderstorms, along with rain in the evening.
In Punjab, the weather is likely to remain hot and dry in most districts of the province. However, rain is likely at some locations in Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Attack, Chakwal, Jhelum, Talagang, Mianwali, Sargodha, Khushab, Nupur Thal, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala, Lahore.
Moving towards Sindh, most regions are likely to experience hot and dry weather, with partly cloudy skies expected in coastal areas.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa most districts of the province are expected to have partly cloudy skies, with strong winds and thunderstorms, including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Malakand, Bajaur, Shangla, Battagram, Mohmand, Khyber, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Peshawar, Charsadda, Mardan, and Swabi. Hailstorm is also expected in a few places during the evening.

In Balochistan, the weather is likely to remain hot and dry in most of the districts of the province.
In Kashmir, there is a likelihood of strong winds and thunderstorms along with rain towards the day-end. Likewise, in Gilgit-Baltistan, most districts of the province are expected to experience hot and dry weather.
