Pakistan Railways confirms ‘no fuel shortage’ after PSO agreement – HUM News


WEB DESK: Pakistan Railways has confirmed that there is no fuel shortage for trains because it has a deal with Pakistan State Oil (PSO) to provide the required fuel, according to the Information Ministry.

A spokesperson for Pakistan Railways said that Pakistan State Oil ensures a steady supply of fuel to keep the trains running smoothly.

He added that the depots in Lahore and Karachi have enough fuel to last a month, which meets about sixty-two percent of the railway’s fuel needs.

Other Railway divisions also have plenty of fuel, he confirmed.

The spokesperson made it clear that Pakistan Railways has enough funds and fuel to continue its operations.
