ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar announced on Wednesday that the government is working to revamp Pakistan Television (PTV).
Speaking in the National Assembly, Tarar stated that the government is committed to transforming PTV into a profitable media organisation.
He stated that we have brought in several private media anchors to give PTV a fresh perspective and ensure adequate coverage for the opposition.
He added that a minimum wage of Rs37,000 has been put into effect. Additionally, a proposal has been submitted to the PTV Board of Directors for formal approval to enforce these minimum wages.
