MILWAUKEE: A motorcade transporting United States (US) Governor of the state of Minnesota, Tim Walz, was involved in an accident on Monday.
According to reports, the vice presidential nominee for the Democratic Party for the upcoming US presidential election on November 5 was traveling to the airport for a political campaign in Milwaukee, a major city in the US state of Wisconsin, when the crashed occurred.
Tim Walz escaped unharmed.

Meanwhile, the US President Joe Bin is traveling with Vice President Kamala Harris for an election campaign in another state (Pittsburgh). He reportedly called to check in on Tim Walz soon after the accident.
Kamala Harris’ campaign later told media that the crash involved some cars rear-ending into Tim Walz’ motorcade. The governor was unharmed as he was sitting at the front.
As per a statement released by the US Secret Service, the collision occurred around 1:00 pm local time.

While the cause of the crash is yet not known, an investigation by local law enforcement is on-going.
