Renowned actor Hamza Ali Abbasi will portray the iconic athlete, known for his remarkable achievements and the title “Flying Bird of Asia” bestowed upon him by Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru at the 1956 Delhi Indo-Pak Meet. The film will explore Khaliq’s journey from his beginnings in the Artillery Regiment to becoming a prominent figure in global athletics.
The high-budget project is produced by Jamil Baig, the owner of the Nueplex cinemas chain, promising a grand portrayal of Khaliq’s legacy. While there is no official release date yet, the film is speculated to hit screens sometime in 2025.
