SOLINGEN: A knife attack during a festival in Solingen, Germany, resulted in three deaths and multiple injuries on Friday.
The knife attack occurred at a market where a crowd had gathered for the city’s 650th anniversary celebrations.

The attack took place at around 10:00 local time.
Authorities reported that three people were killed, and the condition of nine others is critical.
The festival, which was expected to continue until Sunday, was immediately canceled and the area was evacuated following the attack.
The suspect fled the scene and remains at large.
Local police are mobilising all available resources to apprehend the attacker. The stabbing has been classified as a terrorist attack by German authorities.
