ISLAMABAD: Reacting to the cancellation of the PTI rally, Aleema Khan, sister of founder PTI Imran Khan, has raised several questions about the manner in which the rally was postponed.
Talking to the media, she questioned who instructed Azam Swati to visit the former PTI chairman early in the morning and deliver the message to postpone the rally.
“Who directed Azam Swati to meet the former PTI chairman at 7:30 AM in Adiala Jail? And on whose orders was the message to cancel the rally conveyed?” Aleema Khan asked.
Expressing her doubts, she further questioned how such a meeting could have taken place at that early hour inside the jail. “If they lacked the courage to face the workers, they made the former PTI chairman to take the decision,” she remarked.

Aleema Khan also pointed out that the party’s chairman is currently abroad.
“Why didn’t he make the decision himself?” she questioned, highlighting the unusual circumstances surrounding the rally’s cancellation.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Thursday put off its public gathering in Islamabad and rescheduled it for September 8, after the local administration of the city revoked its no objection certificate and sealed roads leading to the federal capital.
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan said the notification about postponement of the rally had been issued and it would now be held on September 8, as per instruction of PTI founder Imran Khan.
