ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir called on Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi in Cairo, reaffirming to strengthen bilateral relations between Pakistan and Egypt.
During their meeting in Cairo, the Field Marshal praised President el-Sisi for his key role in promoting peace and stability in the region.
President el-Sisi also lauded Pakistan’s positive and proactive efforts in supporting global peace, particularly within the Muslim Ummah.
The meeting emphasised the importance of coordination to enhance people-to-people contacts and mutual strategic interests between the two countries, underscoring their shared history of friendly ties.
Both leaders also expressed a mutual desire to expand cooperation in technology, socio-economic engagement, and security domains.
In conclusion, both sides expressed confidence that the strengthened economic and security dialogue will contribute significantly to peace, stability, and security in Pakistan, Egypt, and the wider region.
