Apply for Bani Gala transfer to check govt seriousness: Tariq Fazal – HUM News

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry on Friday made it clear that the government was ready to transfer PTI founding chairman Imran Khan to his Bani Gala residence from the Adiala jail.

The only thing the PTI has to do is to write an application to ascertain the [PML-N] government powers and seriousness, the federal minister said in HUM News programme “Question Hour” hosted by Mona Alam.

He even asked the host to tell Barrister Umair Niazi — the PTI leader who was among the participants of the programme — to write the application immediately.

Tariq Fazal was answering the questions posed by Mona Alam about the reluctance to allow Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi to meet the incarcerated PTI founder and the earlier offer to shift him to Bani Gala in “Faisala Aap Ka” — a programme which Asma Shirazi hosts.

As Mona Alam also pointed to Rana Sanaullah’s aggressive posture and the soft approach shown by him, Tariq Fazal replied there was complete understanding and clarity in the ruling party.

Talking about the issue of not allowing Afridi to meet Imran, the federal minister mentioned that there were severe frictions in the PTI. The authorities get one list of visitors but the people reaching the prison are [mostly] totally different, he remarked.

Denying the impression that the people aren’t allowed to meet Imran, he reminded the audience that PTI founder’s sisters and other family meet him in the prison regularly.

It’s a developing story. Details to follow.
