LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) announced on Tuesday that the pilot school meal programme in southern Punjab will begin on September 5. The programme will later be expanded to other cities across the province, including Lahore.

“This initiative aims to address nutritional deficiencies by providing milk packets to students from nursery through fifth grade,” said the CM while addressing a ceremony honouring position holders from the Punjab Boards.

“Among the 138 position holders from 9 boards in Punjab, there are 70 girls and 68 boys,” Maryam added, expressing her belief that these position holders will represent Pakistan with distinction around the world.
